A new case management app connecting participants, providers, and the court helped drive the program's best year yet.
2024 was SOCD's best year ever. Graduates climbed from 150 to 186 and cases closed from 1,772 to 2,156—surpassing the previous peak from 2019 and setting a new record for the program.
Part of what got us there: in 2024 Street Democracy launched a case management app that brought participants, providers, prosecutors, the judge, and probation onto the same platform—making it faster and easier for everyone to process applications for relief. Less friction in the system means more people getting through it.
