Before 2023, Michigan residents who'd never held a license but picked up two violations had to wait three years before they could get one — trapping people without legal status to drive. We raised the issue with the Secretary of State in 2019 and pushed for it to be included as one of the office's legislative priorities, leading to full repeal.
